Building alarms and fire system
Burglar alarm
The burglar alarm can be set or unset from a small, off-white panel next to both the Unit 7 and the Unit 5 entrance doors. This can be done either by holding a key fob next to the ‘TAG’ symbol on the panel, or by opening the panel and typing in the Alarm code, which is known to the InfoSec Team.
The burglar alarm may also be set or unset via the mobile app, which is currently restricted to management only, and which provides visibility of which sensor has been triggered to cause an alert. The administration of the mobile app may be performed from the Admin Portal, which is detailed in the ‘Burglar Alarm Administration portal’ note in the Shared-Technical Admin Lastpass folder)

Ipswich office: locking up
The following steps must be followed to secure the Ipswich office:
Locking up Steps
Guidance
Confirm no other staff in office
If you are a keyholder, before leaving you must confirm either that there is another keyholder in the office, or that there are no non-keyholders in the office and then lock up.
Turn off both air conditioning systems
Each air conditioning control panel is a small (~A5) cream panel near the staircase door for their respective units. Press the power button for each.
Confirm the Unit 5 front door is physically locked
It has a turnable locking mechanism from the inside – turn it counter-clockwise until it clicks, and confirms that the door doesn’t open even when the magnetic lock is disengaged.
Turn off lights in the Female/Unit 5 toilets
One set of switches by the main door into the toilet foyer.
Close the Unit 5 staircase door and flip the latch closed
Turn off the lights in Unit 5-6
One set of light switches 'hidden' behind the TV next to the kitchen, and another set by the double-doors through into Unit 7.
Turn off the lights in Unit 7
Main light switches are by the staircase door, and the gentleman’s toilets have a light switch just inside their foyer door.
Exit the Unit 7 staircase door and lock the door itself
One of the door keys will lock this door – or if not, there is the master keylock panel to the right of the door that needs a 4-digit code that can be provided verbally (do not write down).
Make sure the downstairs Unit 7 lights are off
Enable the burglar alarm, lock the door and leave
Open unit 7 door, press your keyfob against the small cream panel to the far-left of the door, leave the door in the next 15 seconds, then close and lock it behind you with the other door key.

Fire alarm
The fire alarm is entirely managed from the large panel next to the Unit 7 entrance door. The panel in Unit 5 is disconnected. The fire alarm may be silenced at the panel - however, if the fire alarm is sounding, you should immediately evacuate the building irrespective of other concerns or suspicions, without waiting to disable the alarm. The fire marshals should be attending the alarm and are trained on how to handle the panel.
If, however, A) the panel itself is beeping without the fire alarms sounding (showing that a Fault is occurring), and B) you cannot immediately find a fire marshal;
1- Turn the right-most key on the panel and swing open the panel’s fronting.
2- Take note of exactly which LEDs are lit, both in the centre of the panel and at the now-revealed bottom of the panel. WRITE THIS DOWN FOR THE MARSHALS.
3- Turn the left-most key (in the ‘Enable Panel’ hole) clockwise
4- You may then silence the alarm by pressing the 2nd button (‘Alarm/Fault Warning Silence’), before turning the left-most key back to its starting position.
In any event, if any concern or even suspicion arises regarding the fire panel or fire system as a whole, immediately contact the InfoSec Team or, if not possible, any member of the below table.
