During severe weather conditions you should be able to work effectively from home.
If you cannot work from home, and are unable to reach your place of work due to any adverse weather conditions, you should contact your line manager. Your absence should also be reporting via BreatheHR.
Daily contact must be maintained if the absence lasts for more than one day.
You should discuss your circumstances with a line manager who will determine which of the following options may be available to you;
a) To take this time as annual leave
b) To take the time as unpaid leave
c) To make up the time at a later date
Every effort should be made to return to work as soon as it is safe to do so.
