The theme of FY23 is Evolution. Evolution means development, growth and progression, which is an important part of PCI Pal's “enjoy the journey” company value. We are pleased to offer all our permanent employees the opportunity to utilise an 'Evolve Day' this financial year. Your Evolve day can be used to explore something you have always wanted to do, learn a new skill or volunteer. It is all about giving you the opportunity to evolve yourself, your experiences and your skill set
Why?
We want you to use your Evolve Day in FY23 to foster a sense of pride and satisfaction, whether that is supporting your local community, building friendships or developing new skills. As part of this initiative we would love to share your Evolve stories throughout the year, both internally and externally.
Other guidance
You can use your Evolve day alone, or organise a team/department activity (which will also serve as a great team building opportunity!). All Evolve days, activities and travel must be approved prior to being organised. Wherever possible the activities should be local, so no further than 50 miles from your home. Expenses are not covered for Evolve days.
Examples include:
Volunteering at local food banks or drives
Taking part in a taster session for a skill you have wanted to learn i.e. trying a new sport, learning to paint, sewing...
Go green efforts, including litter picking or clean ups
Youth/education mentoring or support (for example, careers talks)
Working at a local nursery or school (for example, helping children to read)
Volunteering at a religious or faith group
Helping or befriending elderly people
Local legal and financial support organisations (e.g. those offering services free of charge)
Mentoring local students

You can use the day as either a whole day block, or as half days.
You can use your Evolve day alone, or organise a team/department activity (which will also serve as a great team building opportunity!).
All Evolve days, activities and travel must be approved prior to organisation. Wherever possible the activities should be local, so no further than 50 miles from your home.
You must not carry out voluntary work or activities in any countries or territories that the UK, US, Canadian or Australian Governments have advised against travel to (if you intend to tie on your volunteering work to a holiday or “work from anywhere” visit).
You must not volunteer or engage for any groups or organisations that incite hatred, conflict, or civil disobedience
Your Evolve Day cannot be used to support the work of political parties or activist groups
IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT book or make any formal arrangements until your request has been submitted and approved. We reserve the right to decline requests.
