Termination of employment

 
If you wish to resign, you should do so in writing giving such notice as is specified in your statement. You will be entitled to receive from the Company the notice as is specified in your statement.
 

Exit interviews

Should you choose to leave employment you should be offered (if not offered, you can request) an exit interview.  The exit interview will discuss various topics, from processes (whether you had a job description, appraisal, adequate induction training) through to reasons for leaving.  The exit interview is optional, but provides you with an opportunity to express your views, and for the business to take the opportunity to understand the detail behind your reasons for leaving.
 

Terminating employment without notice

If you terminate your employment without giving or working the required period of notice, as indicated in your individual statement of employment, you will have an amount equal to any additional cost of covering your duties during the notice period not worked deducted from any termination pay due to you. This is an express written term of your contract of employment.  You will also forfeit any contractual accrued holiday pay due to you over and above your statutory holiday pay, if you fail to give or work the required period of notice.
 

Return of property

On the termination of your employment you must return all our property in your possession or for which you have responsibility. Failure to return such items will result in the cost of the items or the cost of recovery of the items (at the Company's discretion) being deducted from any monies outstanding to you. This is an express written term of your contract of employment.
 
On termination of your employment you must return any Company vehicle in your possession to our premises or as otherwise directed. Failure to return the vehicle will result in the cost of its recovery being deducted from any monies outstanding to you. All keys, swipe tags, or similar physical access keys must also be returned, and any notes of access codes or similar permanently destroyed. Failure to do so may result in legal proceedings against you.
 
On termination of your employment you must return any ensure that any systems, suppliers or websites you held a login account for are now accessible by an appropriate member of staff (usually your manager) such that no access to any such systems etc will be lost. Whilst the IT team will re-route your emails to an appropriate member of staff (usually your manager), you should also ensure that any email alerts, notifications etc are being routed to an appropriate member of staff. Failure to do so may result in legal proceedings against you.
 
 

Garden leave

If either you or the Company serves notice on the other to terminate your employment the Company may require you to take “garden leave” for all or part of the remaining period of your employment. During any period of garden leave you will continue to receive your full salary and any other contractual benefits.
 

Confidentiality

Upon leaving the Company, you should be aware of your contractual obligations to confidentiality and respect of the Company's Intellectual Property rights, which endure after termination of employment.
